Universities’ links: Spread of (Chinese & Japanese) Tea Culture

Every year Fakultas Ilmu Budaya (Faculty of Cultural Studies) of Universitas Indonesia is inviting Urasenke Indonesia for giving study on Japanese Tea Ceremony (Sado) to the students.

As for Chinese Tea culture, IMSi (Ikatan Mahasiswa Sinologi –Chinology Student Body) from Fakultas Ilmu Pengetahuan Budaya Universitas Indonesia (Faculty of Cultural Studies of University of Indonesia) invited Siang Ming to give speech about Chinese tea and brewing demonstration.

Other universities that help us spread Chinese & Japanese Tea Cultures are Binus University (Jakarta) and Universitas Diponegoro (Semarang, Central Java).

These events have gradually enhanced young generations to a deeper understanding on the tea world. During the presentations, students are enthusiastically taking parts in the Q&A sessions, tea brewing demonstrations, and other studies.
